Another Person Takes it up the Butt in Bizarre Drug Search

It looks like anyone heading to the Southwest these days better invest in a chastity belt.

On Tuesday, Collapse covered the case of a man who was subjected to repeated x-rays and enemas and even a colonoscopy, among other violations, after being pulled over for running a stop sign. The police believed he was carrying illegal drugs and apparently needed to spend an entire evening sticking it to him…literally…before being convinced he just might not have drugs after all.

Now, a similar case has emerged.

KOB 4 reported Thursday that a woman, who doesn’t want her name shared publicly, was strip searched by federal agents at a border crossing in El Paso, Texas after a dog alerted them to her. She was forced to undress, spread her genitalia and cough. That’s when female agents allegedly pressed their fingers into her vagina in search of drugs.

According to the story, the woman claims nothing was found on her. However, her encounter was far from over.

Apparently unconvinced of her innocence, agents allegedly took her to University Medical Center of El Paso. Medical staff then observed her making a bowel movement and x-rayed her, finding nothing on each count.

Still not satisfied, they allegedly probed her vagina and anus before performing a cat scan. As you might expect at this point, nothing was found.

The woman, who is being represented by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), did not consent to these searches, as noted in the story. Also, all of this was done without a search warrant. In other words, the search was not only unnecessarily invasive, it was illegal.

How intense does a search have to be to realize a dog made a mistake and why can’t they get a warrant if someone is truly a threat to society?
